Office 2019 Nagez-Vous again -- Get rid of License Nag warning

Hi folks
Latest build brings back the Office 2019 "License not genuine" warning again for some people even if your license is perfectly legitimate.

Here's how to get rid of it if you are getting the message -- you'll also need to stop future updates until problem is properly fixed.

1) Command prompt Run as administrator
cd "\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\ClickToRun"

2) type : OfficeC2rclient.exe /update user updatetoversion=16.0.13801.20266

3) wait until office update has finished -- this will roll office back to version shown in screenshot even if you have later updates)installed

4) open any office product --> go to account (even if not signed in) and in the updates - choose stop further updates

Never had an issue with Office 19 activation... are you sure your key is above board?

I'm running Office LTSC 2021 now --got it from work so no problems any more with this issue !!!.

I'm actually only doing a couple of part time Remote gigs these days -- one which will probably annoy a lot of UK people -- for the European Commission of all people !!! -- Iceland while not in EU is in the EEA and no probs with working in the EU or for EU institutions !! - There's no way I'd ever go back to full time stuff any more --plenty of good "part time" gigs around with mostly remote working. In so far as anything positive came out of COVID - at least there's a lot more remote working and not so many "Presenteism" bosses any more. !!!!

That sounds good, I dropped down to part time before I stopped. No probs with the EU, we need so many of their workers here.

Brexit -- a whole other issue -- wrong place and wrong forum though --I hope eventually we'll welcome all our UK colleagues back again -- maybe into the EEA rather than the EU as a first effort. !!!!

One thing we all love here though is UK Premiership football (the real game played with the round ball --not that "Squashed Rugby Ball Americans call "Football") !!. Chelsea tonight have most of us cheering for them later in our great English sports bar here
