Vista, Win 11, Win 11 Pro (main PC)
I have a new Win11 Pro PC set up with a Local Account. Let's say I wish to keep it this way.
I've read I'll need to create a Microsoft Account when I activate Office 2021 (and purchase it if from MS). OK.

My questions are will the purchase & activation of Office 2021:
1) Change my local account in any way?
2) Convert my local account into a MS account?
3) Add a MS account as a new account (that has Office 2021 in it)?

Thanks

I have the same setup as you and have Windows 11 set up with only a local account. When you purchase Office 2021, you'll need to first logon to your MS account to validate the licence key. If that's fine, you are given a link to download and install Office 2021. You do then need to logon to an Office component (eg Word) with your MS account to activate it. Your local account is not affected.

Excellent. Thank you.
