Yeah, if you log into OneDrive, you have the ability to run a streaming copy of the apps that does 90% of what most users want. It's effectively the equivalent of the Google Apps that Google gives you free access to with your account.

For those who want the full applications installed on their computer, "if" they have a desire to use cloud space, Office 365 is a no-brainer IMHO. Especially for the family account, 6 accounts for $99 a year, each account getting 1TB of space AND the full Office suite. Microsoft supports and allows you to share this subscription with family and friends so you could easily split up the cost. And the office copy supports Windows and MacOS as well...so you can use on both if you happen to own both. In my family, we have numerous Windows desktops, and a few mac laptops and a mac mini......so having Office available on all of these machines is a nice bonus.
