I've updated my system to latest Windows insider 22H2 22622.598 and updated the old cheap 2021 office I bought 2 years ago. Still working with activation. I had 3 of those and all still working.
Some of those cheap deals if you can find them seem OK to me -- but source them from "Sensible places". Since you get usually the key rather than any physical package - the download comes from Ms itself so should be "Malware" free. I'd though run a virus check if you get any isos or other software which you use to create an installable -- always virus check those.
