I've come across a situation with OneDrive that I have not noticed until I installed IMatch DAM software recently.
What happens is this:
1) I make a change to an image file.
2) Onedrive uploads file OK - see attached P2.jpg
3) IMatch database happy.
4) A few minutes later, OneDrive downloads the file – see attached P3.jpg - having made some kind of change to the metadata.
5) IMatch refreshes, thinks there has been a change in the file, flags it up to write to database, OneDrive thinks that's a change, and we're back to 2) and an endless loop.
Now, I originally thought this was something new happening, but then I noticed that the same thing happens when I make a change to a Word or Excel file. OD uploads then a minute or two later downloads back the same file probably with some kind of minor change, but that wouild go unnoticed in the case of Office documents, I guess.
What this means is that I have taken my photo library off OD, adn everything with IMatch works very nicely.
I have raised a case with MS OneDrive support, but as expected, that is going nowhere.
Any ideas?
