Today we’re releasing an update to Opera Stable 136.0.6008.52.
The highlight is a new addition to Opera’s free, built-in VPN: it can now connect automatically when you join a public Wi-Fi network. Read more here.
This release is also built on Chromium 152.0.7977.130, which brings in the latest upstream security fixes, so we recommend updating as soon as it’s offered to you. On top of that, we’ve fixed two crashes reported after last week’s release, restored split screens created from tab islands after a browser restart, brought back the tab context menu when clicking below the tabs in vertical tabs on Windows, and made sure the browser picks up new paste protection rules.
