This is our new custom built home that was hit by a guy driving a truck, who didn't know what city he was in last Friday night (4/25/2025)! He destroyed our kitchen...quartz broken and gas cook top ...cabinets all over the place....oven and microwave in front of butler's pantry. I'm still in shock..:eek1:

We still don't know much about this. He has insurance but they have not contacted us back. We didn't build this house for him to create a short cut to wherever he was going....I don't feel it's our fault and up to our insurance company to pay! The police said he had a medical emergency. He had about the same type of accident in February. At that time, it was recommended that his drivers license should be taken away .... it was not done. I'm just sick!

Your insurance company should be your advocate to get them moving. If need be starting the process themselves and going after the other company. You shouldn't have to pay a deductible as there is no way they can't consider the driver at fault. Good luck!

It’s on her insurance company to sort this out, at least it is in Australia. And if he isn’t insured, here, it still falls on your own insurance company because… you’re insured.
