My brother in law's mother was looking for a Computer, so she bought the HP Pavilion x360 15 Convertible Laptop from me. But I did buy more Memory for it which will max it out to 16 GB. On the other hand, I just bought me a new HP Pavilion 15 Notebook that is Windows 11 compatible. After the Memory comes in and get installed is when I will give the old computer to her. I have tried selling on Facebook numerous times, and scammers love to get in the way. So I might as well sell or give computers to my family. I sold the HP 255 G7 to my cousin as she was looking for a computer to take back and forth to work with her as she is a Legal Assistant out of Birmingham, Alabama.

I would never buy or sell on Facebook, as you said with scammers it is all too risky. here in the UK second hand laptops are really expensive for quite low spec machines in comparison to new.

I use eBay for selling computers :). You have to be 100% honest and accurate with descriptions and details and have photos to show condition but people appreciate that and you’re less likely to have someone complaining afterwards. I have 100% positive feedback on eBay so my stuff sells with people feeling confident.

Or from a local shop that I can go back to and have it serviced if needed.

It’s good for old stuff :) All our laptops have come from eBay - tedious finding something good though.

Never seem one with high enough specs in our local store, never tried online.
You should try online, the site is searchable. Took a few seconds and a search for '32GB 10th gen' to find this Dell Lattitude 5510, for example.

I bought my first proper build from Ebay, it was split new though as it had just been sitting for a while. Had no issues at all with it, However, Id probably only do it myself now or my mate at a trusted local.
Im sure there are good deals and genuine people out there...its just not worth the hassle finding them. For me anyway.
Laptops were always pricey in the UK, although i thought laptops being more expensive with lesser specs than a PC for more money was the norm.

I got my first 'proper' PC from a local shop that did a custom build for me. Then when I had to get a new one I got it from another local shop. Personally I just like to use local shops when buying gear. I can always take it back and check it out before I take it home. Plus the PC doesn't have to ride the buckboard express to get to me.

How are you enjoying the HP pavilion?
I sold the Pavilion to my brother in law's mother, Susan. After fixing it, so far no issues coming from her with it. I now have an HP 15 notebook with an AMD RYZEN 3 CPU. My other computer I also got new is a Lenovo Ideacentre Desktop. You can see the specs in my specs listed below if the Lenovo and the new HP 15 notebook. Both the new HP and Lenovo desktop are brand new.
