I successfully upgraded to Windows 11 last week and all seems fine.

However, I now have 3 partitions, not 2, as I had on my 10 installation - could the 3rd new one be deleted safely, please?

That’s the recovery partition, you can delete it with diskpart or a 3rd party software as it’s a protected partition. Does it bother you that much?

Here's what mine looks like and it's normal to have those partitions for the C drive

Cornish...thanks for your reply, it doesn't really bug me, I just like simplicity. I use Macrium Reflect frequently, so if it's superfluous, I'd like it gone, as long as it's not going to do any harm.

I would be inclined to leave it alone, it's not taking up much space. is it an old win10 recovery or win 11 as you have upgraded. If 11 I would leave but if 10 and you do not wish to go back to 10 it can be deleted
