Solved PC getting BSOD approx every 5 minutes after windows update.

Stop code is: DRIVER_UNLOADED_WITHOUT_CANCELLING_PENDING_OPERATIONS (0xCE) what failed: mmcss.sys

If it helps I noticed on the event viewer that before the crash it sends the following warning:

The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load.
Device: ROOT\SYSTEM\0003
Status: 0xC0000365

5) Run Memtest86+ for 8 or more passes > take pictures > post images or share links

Just 1 error is a test fail and testing can be aborted.

The more the passes the better the testing conditions.

It sometimes takes passes into the 20's to detect malfunctioning RAM.

The RAM can be tested all at one time or one at a time in the same DIMM.

Thank you very much for the very detailed response! Thankfully while following your instructions and also doing my own research I managed to fix the problem by uninstalling the latest windows quality update through the WINRE menu. After that the explorer didn't work but I managed to fix that too by doing an in-place upgrade since the pc wasn't shutting down every couple of minutes anymore.

Many thanks again for the tips! I will definitely keep them in mimd for any future problems if they occur.

scannow
restorehealth
chkdsk

and optimize the settings so that you're least likely to miss BSODs.
