Solved PC running Win11, but cannot install Win11.

My PC runs Win11. Has done so for years. Over time it's gotten very very slow so I figured it's time to reinstall the OS.

Created the install USB as per Microsoft's instruction on their webpage. So far so good

Get to the actual install... I choose language, then select install and get the message my PC is not compatible the Win11. How ? I'm running Win11, have been for years. I'm typing this while using Win 11.

Can anyone explain?

As a test, create a new USB using Rufus like in option two below with Remove Requirement for 4GB+ RAM, Secure Boot and TPM 2.0 checked to see if may install then.

This worked. Many many thanks, Brink. Weird that the MS option didn't but nevermind, I am now running a new install of Win11.

The install killed my D: drive (my storage drive). It's not visible in Windows so that's the next hurdle.

Good news on the install.

Check in Device Manager to see if you may get lucky to just need to assign a drive letter to the storage drive.
