Pen drive connects and disconnects

• Use a rear USB port (desktop) or switch ports (laptop).
• Try a different USB drive to rule out hardware faults.

• Go to: Control Panel > Power Options > Change plan settings > Advanced
• Expand USB settings > USB selective suspend setting and set to Disabled.
• Open Device Manager > Expand “Universal Serial Bus controllers”
• For each “USB Root Hub” or “Generic USB Hub”:
  • Right-click > Properties > Power Management tab
  • Uncheck “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power”

• Rufus is recommended.
• Avoid `xcopy` or `diskpart` for bootable ISOs—use Rufus or Ventoy instead.

• Temporarily disable antivirus or endpoint protection.
• Avoid simultaneous disk-heavy operations during the burn.

• On laptops, try legacy USB mode in BIOS.
• Update chipset and USB controller drivers from your system vendor.

• Open Event Viewer > Windows Logs > System
• Filter for “Kernel-PnP” or “USBHUB” events
• Look for Event IDs: 225, 219, 10110, or 10111

2. Desative o gerenciamento de energia USB

• Acesse: Painel de Controle > Opções de Energia > Alterar configurações do plano > Avançado
• Expanda Configurações USB > Configuração de suspensão seletiva USB e defina como Desativado .
• Abra o Gerenciador de Dispositivos > Expanda “Controladores Universal Serial Bus”
• Para cada “USB Root Hub” ou “Generic USB Hub”:
  • Clique com o botão direito > Propriedades > guia Gerenciamento de energia
  • Desmarque “Permitir que o computador desligue este dispositivo para economizar energia”

3. Use uma ferramenta de gravação ISO diferente

• Rufus é recomendado.
• Evite `xcopy` ou `diskpart` para ISOs inicializáveis — use Rufus ou Ventoy.

4. Minimize a interferência de fundo

• Desative temporariamente o antivírus ou a proteção de endpoint.
• Evite operações simultâneas que exijam muito do disco durante a gravação.

5. Verifique as peculiaridades do controlador USB

• Em laptops, tente o modo USB legado no BIOS.
• Atualize os drivers do chipset e do controlador USB com o fornecedor do seu sistema.

6. Registre o evento de desconexão

• Abra o Visualizador de Eventos > Logs do Windows > Sistema
• Filtrar por eventos “Kernel-PnP” ou “USBHUB”
• Procure por IDs de eventos: 225 , 219 , 10110 ou 10111

Já tentei gravar em outro pen drive e não funcionou, já desativei a configuração de Suspensão Seletiva USB e o problema persistiu, também já desmarquei a opção "Permitir que o computador desligue este dispositivo para economizar energia" em todos os drivers, estava usando o Rufus e tentei outro programa e nada.

I've already tried to record on another flash drive and it didn't work, I've already disabled the USB Selective Suspension setting and the problem persisted, I've also unchecked the option "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save energy" in all drivers, I was using Rufus and tried another program and nothing.

• Look for the removable drive with the correct size and label.
• If no label is shown, right-click > Properties > Volumes tab to confirm.

• Right-click the USB volume > Change Drive Letter and Paths…
• Click Change…
• Select a new letter from the dropdown (avoid letters already in use).
• Click OK, then Yes to confirm.

• Windows usually remembers the letter unless the stick is reformatted or plugged into a different port.
• If the “Change” option is greyed out, ensure the volume is mounted and not in use.
• Avoid assigning letters A or B — reserved for legacy floppy drives. Try something above J:
