For me RC Channel always gets released to Windows Update, at least on Dev Channel 24H2 on my case. They always offered through Windows Update, It just takes longer to appear on Windows Update. I guess for preview ones doesn't get this kind of treatment maybe? idk...

Yea, I did the same thing and ticked both boxes and I never looked back as WU kept updating it for me in the background since 23H2 Beta releases. It should really work for you and does it automatically without your intervention.

Microsoft says it can take 2 weeks to appear How soon after release are updates advertised by Microsoft Update?

Maybe check if you have turned "On" for "Receive updates for other Microsoft products".
