Now that is slick! But maybe they should first spend a little time fixing bugs and making a greater effort to not break things every patch Tuesday.

Priorities are not there I guess.

Clearly, but that is not the point. It is the same company and they have to determine what amount of the overall budget goes to various groups. I suspect that AI efforts are siphoning off some big bucks these days.

I agree with you. BTW, I'm sort of kidding around here a little bit, but I'm at a point where I'm getting a bit paranoid about patch Tuesday updates because the quality has not been exactly stellar lately.

I just wish that we could get to a point where they didn't constantly have to patch security issues. It's all that patching that tends to break stuff so things would be much more reliable if they didn't have to be dealt with.

Same pool of money, yes, but that doesn’t mean the talent exists. Coding little desktop apps with community involvement is fairly simple. Triggering a blue screen when someone plays a YouTube video through their everyday audio chip… that takes real skill.
