Solved Problem joining Windows Insider program

Windows 11 Home 25H2 (OS Build: 26200.7849)
I click on Windows Insider Program>get started>link my account, but when I get to the agreements page and click continue and it just takes me back to the first agreement instead of the 2 agreement page. Not sure why I can't join and any suggestions/help is appreciated

You need turn on optional diagnostic data first.

Can't join Windows Insider Program — stuck in agreement loop.
Clicking "Continue" on the agreement page just reloads the same screen instead of progressing to the second agreement.
Allegedly a known issue.

AI — Possible Causes & Fixes:

  1. Multi-Monitor Setup Bug
    Some users report UI glitches when multiple monitors are connected.
    → Disconnect all secondary monitors, restart, and retry with only the primary display.
  2. Diagnostic Data Settings
    Insider Program requires "Optional Diagnostic Data" to be enabled.
    → Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Diagnostics & Feedback
    Enable "Send Optional Diagnostic Data"
    Restart and try again.
  3. Group Policy Conflicts (Windows Pro Editions)
    Group Policy may block Insider enrollment.
    → Run gpedit.msc → Navigate to:
    Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Update > Manage Updates Offered from Windows Update
    Set "Manage Preview Builds" to Enabled
    Choose your Insider channel, apply, and reboot.
  4. Registry Corruption or Stale Keys
    Old or broken registry entries can cause loops.
    → Open regedit → Navigate to:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsSelfHost
    Right-click WindowsSelfHost and delete it.
    Restart and retry.
    • Always back up your registry before making changes.
