Hi I have a program, AWCC that I need to start with Windows but doesn't. When I check in Task Manager / Background Processes I find it is Suspended stating UWP Process is suspended to improve system performance. and a yellow pause symbol in a circle next to it. How can I stop this from starting suspended?

@dacrone thanks for reply, I have never touched the settings and it set to run in the background it just does not start when the pc starts, if it did it would run in the background. I have created an icon that I click and this will start it, but it should work automatically.

@dacrone and @antspants thanks guys, Neither work as it causes the program to open and I want it running in the background, so when I click a game the keyboard lights change colour and if I use the Alienware hot keys the function works.
If it makes sense, it looks like the first click starts takes it out of suspend and the second click will open the program. when I click it once it must start a service or something as the Minuit I click the game the light change ready and all hot key functions work.

ok question - does it run in the tray automatically if you open it via the shortcut and then close it? if it does, i can make an ahk/exe that will automate it all that you can run at startup. i dont have an answer as to why your app is paused in the background if you have not disabled background apps (like in the tutorial i linked above)

That's to be expected, as in.... Windows sometimes suspends UWP background processes - if idle or if it decides they're not needed (more strict with 3rd party apps - than Windows/Microsoft apps) - even at startup. You could always disable UWP app suspension - in the general sense. Not what i would recommend - since it affects performance slightly - depending on hardware, but hey - if you're fine with that: Press Win + R, type regedit and navigate to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\BackgroundModel\Policy

If Policy doesn’t exist - create it as a DWORD (32 bit) Value:

GlobalUserDisabled and set it to 1

Restart your PC.

Is this Alienware Command Center?
If so, I assume it needs Admin permission to run.
Windows has long had a downer on running Admin tasks at startup.
You might find that it runs alright from TaskScheduler using a startup trigger At user logon rather than At startup.

Not possible it would seem as AWCC is a collection of various Apps.
However, I know that the Epic and EA game clients when installed and used externally of AWCC do have a fast start up feature, it is in their settings.

Sadly that just makes the program open, not start

I have a shortcut on the taskbar which I click after the service has started and when I click it the light underneath that shows a program is open comes on and goes off, then when I click on something that needs AWCC it works just fine, if I don't then nothing happens when I click a program, like colours don't change for a game or the AWCC hot keys don't work ( I hope that makes sense )
