Question On MSI Motherboard site driver updates?

occasionally i check my MSI Pro B650 VC Wifi Rev 1.0 Motherboards site for updated drivers, but i noticed after installing the Updated Driver, the date goes back to June for some reason, and yesterday the Ethernet Driver went back from December 2024 to August 2024.

Is MSI uploading old drivers for some reason and putting release date of 1-8-2025, and 1-9-2025 despite there not really new

You can always install device drivers from device manufacturer website, this way you will have the newest device drivers.

Oh ok. Well then will check RealTek for the 2.5gig ethernet, and wifi/bluetooth guess AMD's site or something for those. as not sure why MSI ones going back to June & August seems like

The manufacturer of motherboard update drivers for buggy drivers and not always i must say better to install the device drivers from device manufacturer's website this way you will have the newest released device drivers.

I have an MSI Pro B650-VC and I have used the ASUS WiFi drivers successfully with them (Thanks @MoKiChU for posting) -- however, since they are not MSI remember that YMMV and neither myself nor MoKiChU are responsible if they do not work for you. I was lucky - you may not be.

I went back to my Windows 11 Pro 24H2 folder and reinstalled the ones i had in that folder, and seem to be working fine. Hopefully continues working fine, but i shall see as i test it more, and such


Tested Bluetooth for a long while mainly what i use the most, besides 2.5Gig Ethernet

Wifi 6E used off and on though, i might test that a bit tomorrow morning and see if that works fine as well. If end up not working well, always have the ones on MSI's motherboard driver site to fall back on if worst comes to worst lol.

But so far not seeing any issues

Transferred 10 FIles with the Bluetooth to Phone, and was perfect, might use my phones Galaxy bud with PC tonight, and play my relaxation audio over night to them from PC, and see how the bluetooth handles longer with those

System is Ibuypower Ready Build with Ryzen 7 7700X, on a MSI Pro B650 VC Wifi Rev 1.0 Motherboard

Overall seems to be working fine though at the moment

Previous drivers on the site showed 12/26/2023 which i had installed til now, thought though they say 1-9-2025 after installed them though.
