Is that the SAME version of Microsoft Office? If you install Pro Plus 2024 and try to activate using a Home 2024 key, it will obviously fail. Like trying to activate Windows 11 Pro with a Home key. Same if the key is for an older version of Office. You must match both the version (Home or Business or Pro Plus) and the year (2021 or earlier or 2024). Also trying to activate a retail version with an OEM key (such Dell version of Office) will also fail. You must uninstall the retail version and install the OEM version, provided your computer is of the same manufacturer. Obviously you cannot activate Dell Office on an HP computer or vice versa. In any case call Microsoft to give you specific instructions.Keys. The long numbers of the offi e installation.
Typed them in the box that came up in word but they were rejected.
Hint: Suspicious Office keys that need specific procedures to install and activate, rather than following the standard method, usually activate once. If you reinstall they don't activate a second time because the key is blacklisted. If you have such a key don't waste your time. You need a different key to activate. Whether you purchase a genuine key is up to you. I just said that to save you wasting time with a worthless key.
