I downloaded the Realtek audio driver provided by my motherboard. Initially in device manager it just said High Definition Audio because the driver wasn't installed. After installing it, it now says Realtek Audio instead of Realtek High Definition Audio. I think this is causing an issue for me because under sound settings for my speaker I do not have the Enhancements tab.
I'd like to have the Enhancements tab to enable and adjust the equalizer.
I've tried searching for a driver update but it's saying I have the current driver.

After restarting the computer a couple times and reinstalling the driver, it's working. I still don't have the equalizer, but I have the bass boost.

Some non-Realtek audio cards will accept the Realtek driver, but not work properly. The most common symptom is to not produce any sound. Are you sure you have a realtek audio card? You can consult your motherboard/computer User Guide or use a utility such as Speccy or Aida64 to confirm it. If it is not a Realtek card, simply uninstall the Realtek software and restart. Should you need an audio driver download one from the motherboard/computer support site.

If you see Realtek(R) Audio in Device Manager, it's a UAD driver.

You'd probably get more help at the Windows 10 Forum, which has a dedicated Sound & Audio section. It doesn't matter that you're using Windows 11.

Both Realtek audio cards and non-Realtek ones that accept the Realtek driver (but don't work properly because thay aren't really Realtek cards) show as "Realtek audio" in Device Manager with the driver installed. To find out if you really have a Realtek card and which model use Speccy or Aida64 or similar utility. If it is not a Realtek card it will work better without the Realtek software, just uninstall it and restart. Windows should automatically find drivers for it. If you cannot find official drivers in motherboard/computer support site, leave it as it is with the Windows drivers. There are third-party applications to get the audio effects you want.

Since the included Equalizer is the most basic Audio Processing feature - i recommend using a 3rd party Audio Processing App - such as:

(one of the best free options)

Even more advanced - there's EqualizerAPO (it's what i use paired with HeSuVi) - also free (even Open Source), but some dislike the extra complexity and its raw interface. FxSound on the other hand - is more user friendly with a more refined interface (most seem to like that part).

What Realtek model do you have? If we are talking about the old Realtek HD audio models you can download latest driver directly from Realtek's site. If we are talking about more recent model Realtek no longer provides drivers directly, your best bet is the motherboard manufacturer's site. See if there is any chipset drivers and install them as well. It could make a difference in compatibility and performance.

I’ve already mentioned this twice, the ones I got ARE from the motherboards website.
