Recommend vendor to buy an 11 key for a virtual machine

Hi again, folks.

Would someone please recommend a vendor to buy a legit key for Windows 11 Home, which will be used exclusively in a virtual machine on a Mac? I’m trying to save my brother some money, if possible.

I’m giving him my Intel-based MacBook Pro, and he has 1 app that runs only on Windows. haha.

If there not trying to customize it and just using for testing, not activating is an option. Lots of 3rd parties sell licenses for cheap as they recycle old systems and pull the old licenses when they are retail.

Groupon for example sells licenses for in the ~$10 range. There's always a small chance they won't work

We would prefer to buy Windows 11 Home outright so there are no issues. He’s not super techy - he just wants everything to work reliably.

Can you recommend a 3rd party vendor that you trust?

You can also buy a Win 11 Pro license for $15 from Stack Social, re: @Scott 's post above. Pro gets you a few features but user wise is the same.

The ISO file for either will come from Microsoft. Stack Social will just sell you the key. Download Windows 11

Stack Social says it's an upgrade key from Win 10... I don't know if that means you have to have a licensed copy of Win 10 already installed. You might be able to install a Win 10 ISO in the virtual machine and then upgrade to Win 11. Check w/Stack before purchase. They are responsive.

I agree with @Scott. I just bought 11 Pro key from stack social and it worked great. Activated as a retail license. I bought my Ofc2021 from them too without having any issues.

I bought the license for my backup machine from Stack Social, had no issues with installation or activation.
