I would like to put everything in one drive onto a USB stick. I cannot find out how do do this. I inadvertantly allowed one drive but do not want any files in the cloud, I have no shortage of storage capacity.

Simple copy and paste should work.

Using cut and paste can be dangerous. If something goes wrong the files could be lost forever. It's safer to use copy and paste. The old files can be deleted after all the files have been transferred.

Yeah, with such a big decision it is definitely more prudent to go little step by little step.

In the same vein, it is more prudent to continue to let OneDrive start upon startup and closing OneDrive, and work with such a reversibly 'disabled' OneDrive (that you can walk back) for a month or so, rather than abruptly and permanently disabling OneDrive, for example.

Just afford us error-prone human beings a little bit of grace period, which is the same reason for having a recycling bin rather than abruptly and permanently deleting files and folders (y)
