I remote into about 25 little old ladies and gents systems to fix their problems and answer their questions. Sometimes these sessions go into hours and most times I do not charge for my efforts. My current subscription for my remote software is up soon so I need to decide if I want to keep it. It's only $10 a month, but $120 a year is $120.

For years I used Teamviewer until it got so expensive I couldn't afford it. I tried Aero Admin which worked (kind of) but was clunky for me. I found Anydesk and like it a lot. It's as dependable as Teamviewer and a heck of a lot cheaper. My question is, can any of you suggest any good remote desktop software that might fit my needs better than Anydesk.

Or even Windows Remote Assistance. It's come along ways. Does not work through UAC, but you can get the user to click through it.

@FreeBooter After I remote in to the third or fourth different PC session, Free Teamviewer sees it as being used for professional use and limits me to only a 5 minute connection.

Yeah, TV is great for that and won't ever time out. I'm trying to break away from all these people that require so much of my time but it's like pulling teeth. They're on fixed incomes (But then, so am I)so I feel bad about charging them. It's my own fault because I've done it so long now I've made it difficult to stop their dependence on me.

Here's a funny story for you. The night I got out of the hospital from having knee replacement that morning, I sat at my desk for 3 hours (at least that's what my husband told me), high as a kite on pain killers (I guess I took a little too much), cleaning malware off a little old (older than me anyway) lady's laptop and fixing windows update. The next morning I saw all my notes on my desk about the endeavor and I didn't recall any of it. I called her, scared to death I had really screwed up. She was happy as a lark she could get back on Facebook. I must have worked on auto-pilot because 'Linda had left the building'.
