Would it be a good idea to use self clamping connectors or is it better to use regular ones ?

I prefer using the RJ45 Pass-Thru connectors and a pass-thru crimping tool.

You would be better off using regular ones, or the ones that @pparks1 linked.

That is unless you are really interested in having potential connection and bandwidth problems. Your choice.

I'd go with the regular ones. They still clip into place securely, but they're easier to unplug.

The regular ones would also be my choice. The newer ones are more secure than the older ones
and they do disconnect easily.
