Several sites said:

Open the Control Panel, navigate to the Programs section, and click Turn Windows features on or off. Enable Virtual Machine Platform and Windows Hypervisor Platform

When I did this the PC wouldn't boot up. Luckily I could do a system restore.

Anyone else had this problem?

Is this HP Omen or Omen Obelisk? Only Obelisk has virtualization support as far as I can tell.

The flag to enable Virtualization is under Configuration menu in BIOS.

HP Omen 880. I found enable virtualisation in the Bios and enable. Then went back to windows features and ticked the 2 boxes as before but still the PC wouldn't restart.

In Windows 11, open Task Manager and switch to Performance tab and check if Virtualization is Enabled.

Try enabling one Windows feature at a time and then reboot in between...

There is a slight possibility one of your device drivers is interfering with Virtualization, or Kaspersky Antivirus may be interfering with enabling new features.

I run Windows 11 pretty much vanilla...so mostly no issues.

    Have discovered 31/01/2022 Internet speed at router 41 mbps. At this PC 9. Internet is via wired ethernet.
its ok i used to use android emulators like bluestacks but once I installed Win11 Pro I could no longer use them, because I have the same exact issue. I cannot use Hyper-V or it messes my system. Im not even gonna dig into the who,what,where,when and whys of it all. I just remember seeing articles on the fact about something with hyper-v and win11 and not being able to use virtualization anymore..IDK. Anyway good luck sorry I cant truly help just thought i would chime in and say that.

I can run Bluestacks but the PC starts to sound like a helicopter lifting off so seems to take a lot of energy to run it so thought I'd look into the via Windows route.

Yeah, Bluestacks is a resource hog. WSA, when working is very lightweight and quite fast.

Bluestacks does not play well with Hyper-V hypervisor active as it is a type 2 hypervisor in effect, and Hyper-V is a type 1 hypervisor. You can turn off the type 1 hypervisor to run Bluestacks.

There is no way turning on Hyper-V should stop a pc booting.
