Running WIN 11..but pc says it wont...

Bought a used HP SFF last year ..came with WIN 11 home 64 installed ...I-5 6500@3.20 32 gb ddr4 ram 500 gb wd ssd. Pc healthcheck says my pc does not support WIN 11...yet it's stiing here running WIN 11 perfectly....any guesses what's going on ??Thanks...

Hello @deltas69 and welcome to ElevenForum. :-)

Either MS added your CPU to the support list, or whomever owned it before, used one of the many "work-arounds" to install Windows 11 on your device.

Thanks for the update,,,Since it may be a "workaround" hack...would that explain why it takes five minute to boot from startup? Once it opens it works fine ...

No, the only 'hack' that's needed is the one to bypass the checks, and that only happen at install time. There's nothing changed in the installed W11, it's exactly the same as it would be on any supported device.

Your slow boot up is down to something else, my unsupported System Two with a 1st gen i5 restarts in 81 seconds.

    fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, and 24H2 on 3rd October 2024 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2.

This could be caused by any number of reasons. How much RAM in your system? How much free space is on your boot drive? Typically during initial bootup Windows has quite a bit of housekeeping so sometimes until this "housekeeping" is completed after bootup some systems will see some slugishness.
You can view what is actively going on if you bring up Task Manager and look at the performance graphs. Your Disk usage might be showing near 100% activity levels soon after windows loads up.

    I'm a computer enthusiast so have quite a few systems that I run. More like an advanced hobby.
I have 2 Notebooks from 2014 [HP Envy 17 TS and Dell Inspiron 15R 5537] I've done the single-file tweak to install Win11 as an Upgrade, work pretty much like Win10. Not getting that notification about not meeting the requirements.

Thanks for all the help..here's the system properties..win 11 home 64 bit...i5 @ 6500 3.2Ghz...32 gb ddr4 ram duel channel..500 gb WD ssd...nvidea geforce gt 730 gpu..HP mobo 8062 9U3E10...all temps run steady at 32 degrees C or below..almost 400gb free space intotal across two partitions....I cloned the 500 gb ssd from a 160gb ssd that came with this pc.....I admit to being confused about how drives are partioned...so therein may lie my problemm Thanks again..I network several pc's here for my internet radio station...so not a nubee as such...more like a low grade apprentice..lol

I'd be curious what the new Cloned partition(s) look like. Cloning a smaller (160gb) partition to a larger 500 GB drive can be done incorrectly and you'd end up with a Cloned 160 gb partition on a 500 gb drive with unused space be underutilized.

The only issue I've seen with that is the larger-capacity drive will have an unallocated partition that can't be accessed by the OS until it has a partition created then formatted. It is possible to Merge the extra space to the main partition but is tricky, can involve the right-most small partition/s to the right in the blank area then Expand the main partition to encompass that space. My Notebook from a month factory-formatted:
