I just downloaded it from FileHorse... it scans clean locally and at Virustotal.
I would say it's safe.

I have downloaded quite a few things from FileHorse before, and never had any problems.
But I always scan things like that, locally and at Virustotal.

Anything under 650MB I think, can be scanned at Virustotal.

I don't download from any site that requires you to install their download program. If that is the case then I wouldn't even if the site is safe.

Filehorse doesn't require the install of a downloader.

As I mentioned, I've downloaded things from Filehorse for a long, long time. Maybe 15 years or so.

My philosophy is to only download apps from their official site. IOW, if you want this app you should go to Adobe.com, which is the likely owner. That said, I went to virustotal.com, which checks the reputation of sites, and it seems to be clean.

Hi Patsy 1011,

If you ever come across a questionable download, you can try it out in a Windows Sandbox (Control Panel > Programs and Features > Turn Windows features on or off > Windows Sandbox option, see below). In the Sandbox you can have Windows protected from any virus. The Sandbox provides a temporary Windows session that is separate from Windows. When you close the Sandbox, everything you've done in it will be discarded forever. The only connection between Windows and the Sandbox is that you can copy and paste. Everything else is confined to the Sandbox session.

Tecknot - big thanks. Was not aware of that app Guess it's an app. Glasskuter- Yes, I know it's very old. I used it for years in my job and really liked it. I just need a very simple layout app. Like a 5x7 vertical that I can load images on and make a simple card. Wordpad doesn't seem cooperate. And, Don't need or want the whole 365 package.

Microsoft has announced Wordpad is being deprecated. I don't think it will be in future versions of Windows 11.

You might find LibreOffice sufficient for your needs & very easy to use.
LibreOffice is pretty similar to old versions of MSOffice - see their sample screenshots.
