Downloaded the Newer One off Samsung Site, Put it on the USB Flash drive with Rufus, rebooted Main Desktop, set uefi bios to boot to the flash drive, yet it goes and says no supported Samsung Nvme detected huh

I guess i'll wait now til it shows up in Samsung Magician probably best thing

Could be the NVme driver is Microsoft not Samsung. I had no luck at all with Magician because of that or similar and they cannot be changed easily so I gave up on Magician and hope something will come down from MS

Well Don't think the NvMe Driver would have anything to do with the Firmwire update, but could be wrong, Offical Samsung Forum a reply in there said a Known issue with Samsung Magician and Firmwire updates

EDIT: try it like this:
  1. Uninstall Magician 7
  2. Reboot
  3. Install Magician 6.3
  4. Update Magician 6.3 to Magician 7
  5. Accept the upgrade to the latest firmware
  6. Reboot
  7. Done!

Yeah i tried that way eariler--No luck, did not even see the newer firmwire for some reason, i don't know why, well i may give it another shot later, and see if finally sees it, but somehow i doubt it will, it sure didn't eariler

unless i switch my tasks over to my secondary Gaming Laptop, and give it one more shot on this, before i give up and wait on a fix

Yeah stick with 6.3 version of magician silly they call this 7.0 firmware it's an app lol
Original actual m.2 firmware should be fine to
Driver wise think I still have the older if you need it for clean install.

Well don't have Magician 6.3 here.

This point all i got is 7.0 of Magician, stupid app still thinks 2B2QEXM7 is latest version obviously isn't, tried Samsung usb update method 4 times, then bios doesn't see the drive so lovely lol. No eta on a Fix from Offical Samsung support on this matter

Got a headache already after dealing with this for most of yesterday

Perhaps your 970 EVO Plus is of a H/W version which does not require the firmware update.

There is an NVMe driver from Samsung for the 950, 960, and 970 NVMe drives. In fact, Magician may complain it can't see the drive without said driver. Been there done that. And yes, my 970 Pro has said driver.

Is it a "requirement", no, but Samsung suggests you install it for optimal performance.

    This is my backup system.
Well Windows 11 doesn't support the Samsung Nvme Driver as yet, My Nvme was a retail version purchased last Christmas, so isn't really even that old, unlikely it's a different hardware version as far as i know, as it did update to the current 2B2QEXM7 last year when got the M.2 Drive

guess now i either wait, and try to stay calm and not get too upset while waiting for offical fix

No need for any Samsung NVMe driver ... (does nothing much since Windows learned to handle NVMe)

What makes you think that? Windows 11 fully supports the Samsung NVME driver. The Samsung 980 and 980 Pro nvme SSD aren't supported by the Samsung nvme driver, only the Microsoft standard driver. All Samsung nvme drivers older than the 980s are supported by the Samsung driver on Windows 11. Maybe you are in that situation.
