Samsung One UI 8.5 Official Rollout Starts May 6, 2026

Samsung is expanding the One UI 8.5 rollout to more devices, bringing the latest Galaxy AI features across the Samsung Galaxy ecosystem. The update focuses on enhancing communication and creative experiences on Galaxy mobile phones and tablets, including the Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy S25 FE, Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy S24 FE, Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7, Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6, Galaxy Tab S11 series and Galaxy Tab S10 series.

One UI 8.5 will begin rolling out in Korea starting May 6 with additional regions to follow.

I was having problems with my battery. It would drop to about 90% soon after charging it, even if I hadn't been using it much. I'd put it on charge, and it would say 1 minute until full.

The *#9900# > SysDump > Batterystats Reset option seems to have fixed it.

Restart immediately.

I've been experiencing some random erratic battery behavior from time to time as well!
It comes and goes! Often I'll purge the RAM or just Restart the device.

The UK S25 forum shows many have battery drain problems following the July update so I'm skipping that update

Where to get or how to do... Batterystats Reset?

I did the Google Play update and my battery went from 96% to 86%, right after the restart.

I read somewhere where it said to "Delete dumpstate/logcat" first before doing the "Batterystats Reset", something about clearing old log data. Is that step really needed or is it better to just do the "batterystats Reset" and skip the cleaning of the log part. I have never done this, so I was just wondering. Thanks.

The main cause of battery drain is due to a corrupted cache partition of UI8.5 Home app during the update.

The main fix previously is to clear the app cache partition. However this is no longer an option.,


However, you can clear the overal phone cache partition accessed from the pre-OS download screens (pressing vol up/down etc at same time - method varies according to model).

However the first time you do this, all you see is a blank screen and you cannot get into download mode.

To get to the clear cache partition option, you need to put the phone into the new Maintenance Mode first, turn off phone, enter download mode and select clear cache option. The reboot phone and clear maintenance mode.

Clearing the cache partition is safe and has minimal impact on performance (maybe a fraction slower for a day or so).

I did this and my battery problems went away.

Do you mean download mode, or recovery mode? I think the option to clear the cache partition is in recovery mode.

Yeah, I read that somewhere too..., I'm not sure it's totally necessary, I'm just lookin to reset battery usage cycles to see if it helps. I did it this morning, and, I've been texting and using Google Maps all day and my battery is still at 91% at 3:30PM.
