Screen mirroring Win 11 does... weird!

I tried to mirror my PC screen on my SAMSUNG TV but on my TV it comes out really garbled and stuff on the screen like digital noise and colored blocks while on my normal PC the monitor it's just.... OK! (not garbled). Can it be the network connection? I could try to connect my PC directly onto my TV (via HDMI!)

That's exactly how I do it, same setup, PC to Samsung TV. Just select Project, Extend.

No I tried to STREAM it towards my TV! And that is where it goes all wrong!

Sounds like the resolutions aren't the same. Here is how I mirror my PC to my Samsung TV.

Connect PC > Samsung via HDMI cable
Settings > System > Display:
Identify 1 | 2 and select Duplicate these displays

Under Scale & Layout: scale at 100%, resolution 1920 x 1080, Landscape

I think a lot depends upon the speed the computer, speed of the TV, and the speed of the Wi-Fi.

Using my old laptop and TV, mirroring the laptops screen on the TV was poor at best. That is the connection was intermittent and randomly disconnected. The mouse cursor lagged and movement was jerky.

Using my relatively new laptop and TV I can easily mirror to the TV.

Laptop:
ASUS TUF Gaming (2022) A15
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 6800H
GPU: Nvidia Notebook RTX 3060
Screen: 15.6-in
Resolution: 1080p (1920×1080)
Refresh: 300Hz
Wireless: Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax)

TV:
Samsung Q70D (2024)
Screen: 55-in
Resolution: 4K (3840×2160)
Refresh: 120Hz
Wireless: Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac)

Note, I have fairly fast Internet. My laptop has a typical Wi-Fi download speed of 600-800 Mbps.
