EDIT:
The screensaver always starts from the beginning with the oldest photo, can we have it pick back up where it left off?

Well, I will read through that but I don't think the keyboard has anything to do with the screensaver starting at the first picture.
I apologize if I gave too much info and should have just posted the question.

I'm with OP on this one.. what has the keyboard to do with windows screensaver? ;-)

as for the screensaver.. I have never seen any solution on that one.. I use random pictures to not have to see the same ones in a row on every start of the screensaver.

1. Reduce or disable the screensaver/lock timeout so it doesn’t activate as quickly.
2. Adjust sleep/turn-off display settings so your device stays awake longer.
3. If you’re on Windows and don’t want it to lock every time it wakes, change your Sign-in options so it doesn’t require a password after waking.

The K400 Plus can be customized (for keys, function row, notifications, etc.) using Logitech software like Logitech Options / Logi Options+, but none of these settings change how your operating system shows the screensaver or lock screen.

The above I got off the FAQ's - remember, I never used this device ! there may be someone who will post that knows more than I do........

yeah..... i got so pissed after a week with seeing the same first pictures all the time, even i have a library of 20 thousand pictures.. Now after 3 years i still cant remember seeing everyone and i have the screensaver jumping in after 1 minute (it's my multimedia computer i have to my TV and home cinema)
it would be a tiiiiiny bit short on a laptop/desktop with one minute...... reading half a post and the screensaver jumps in. *lol* 😅

I burn pics on CD's or DVD' s
I used to do that until I found out the CDRs and DVDRs don't last as long as I was promised..

use random pictures
That is an option, but we were hoping for 'hey this is when we were going through Katrina' or 'it's your 3rd birthday party!' etc series of pics before moving on to the next chapter in our family story.

(it's my multimedia computer i have to my TV and home cinema)
YES, this is our media server, the keyboard really helps (use two thumbs! geenus!).. Had been using PLEX for years but just switched to JellyFin. Hoping for an easier photo screensaver.

EDIT: this looks promising:
It says "The file list can be saved between sessions to continue where the previous slideshow ended."
woot!
