I log into my computer with a passcode. When I ask to log in to a site with a passcode, it automatically assigns the one I use for my PC I would prefer more security for some sites for which I want extra security. How do I do this?

How did you initially setup the password for the site, manual, via the browser password manager, other?
I'm assuming this is a personal device and not business?

Couple of other points
I recommend using a password manager that is not one built into a browser as these tend to be less secure (Chrome and Firefox have decent built-in ones but Edges is garbage)
I would recommend Bitwarden: They have a free tier that works fine or for $1/month you get a lot of extra security features.

With a password manager, and the password managers browser extension installed
  1. You would need to visit each site you log into
  2. Locate the site's account settings > change password
  3. The password manager should pop up and help you generate a password and store it within the password manager

You can then test visiting each site, the password manager should pop up on the login page and offer to auto-fill your credentials
