Only had win 11 for a day or two but have found trying to change the settings almost impossible.
The text and the switch graphics are readable only around the mouse cursor.
If I move the cursor a block of text near it moves with it. It's difficult to explain but i can only see the text/graphics as I move the cursor
so if I drag the mouse along a line of text I can read it bit by bit as the previous bit vanishes.
Even then this is not consistent and some bits you have to keep moving the cursor and hope it might appear.

It has been a real pain adjusting the settings.
I have managed to turn off everything that might slow graphics down but not made any difference.
I have also updated to latest update.

Everything else seems to work OK especially if it's an external app not part of the O/S

I wil lwait and see if it can be fixed for a few days but if it can't be sorted I'll have to revert back to win 10

any advice appreciated
BTW My PC was ready for the update.

Mike

I would suspect that you either have some corrupt files somewhere or it's a driver conflict.I would first try running display driver uninstaller then installing older graphics drivers that are known to not have issues. If that doesn't fix it then, rather than going back to W10,a system reset is in order. That will allow you to reinstall W11 and keep your personal files. It might be a good idea to just dl the W11 media creation tool and start out fresh.

Thanks I tried the dark theme and now it seems ok. Obviously this is not a long term fix but at least it makes it easier to alter the settings etc . :)

The other thing that could give strange results could be miss selected Ease of Access setting or two There are settings combinations on Windows 10 that can produce some strange results in highlighting text for reading as you go

With Windows 11 and the likely "improvements" in options it could be an accidental activation, like the common one of resting your finger on the shift key while you think of what to type next and invoking the Sticky Keys Feature

Thanks at least I can now read the settings!
It seems to have sorted itself out now even in the light theme. I did update an Nvidia driver so it's either that, that fixed it or me altering the ease of use settings.
