Hello! I have just set up OneDrive (although I used it some years ago as well).

I have the following questions:

1. The drive properties shows more than 71 GB on OneDrive is used, but the drive has only a few photos (4 MB) and a pdf left by Microsoft "Starting to use OneDrive" (1 MB).

2. The filesystem indicates FAT, which means no files greater than 4 GB are allowed.

Can these two issues be fixed?

P.S. It seems the problem is that this drive access uses HTTPS, not SMB. So, it is not truly mounted drive, for instance one cannot open office documents from it.

Is there a way to mount OneDrive as SMB share?

What version of Windows are you on?

Did you do something to map onedrive to a drive letter. Usually it doesn't show up like that.

You should be able to easily open and save office documents to onedrive. The file size limitation for OneDrive is 250GB for a single file. OneDrive has to be configured on a drive that is NTFS, FAT isn't even an option for the underlying drive where OneDrive will live.

Why are you trying to mount onedrive with a network drive letter?
That was a way of accessing online files on demand without having them on local drive before Files On Demand (FOD) was introduced.

Back in time W8 had placeholders to access files online without local storage) but on early W10 releases, placeholders were no longer available.

This caused a big backlash as drive memories were a lot lower and so accessing online like a network drive was a workaround.

However, it has been superseded by Files On Demand, and accessing via a network drive is really only a footnote in history.
