The built-in Windows share window in Windows 11 allows you to directly share a file with an app or nearby devices.

Starting with Windows 11 build 25163, when sharing a local file from the desktop, File Explorer, Photos, Snipping Tool, Xbox, and other apps that use the built-in Windows share window, you can choose OneDrive as a target to directly upload the file to OneDrive and share it further along with access control options. All this can be done right from sharing local files in File Explorer without any context switches or opening the OneDrive app.

This tutorial will show you how to share a file with an app in Windows 11.

It's a shame how useless this option is in windows in 2022!!! On an adnroid device when I choose to share for example an image I get the option to share it via Gmail, whatsapp, telegram, instagram, kindle, messaging (sms), skype, bluetooth, twitter, etc .....
In windows I can share it with the sniping tool!!, with built-in mail app and with feedback hub! yoopi !! It would be cool if I could share with whatsapp for example that I use!
