Last year I did SSD upgrades, added the RTX 3080 'Tie', and added to my repertoire of monitors.

Please pardon my progress - It's been a few months since I cleaned it lol.

@z3r010 What stand did you use to achieve this? I will have 7 monitors (5 currently, one is a 22” draw pad though) I have 2 new monitors on the way) I currently only have a stand for 4 monitors. A good one for 6 would be helpful.

Are you handy with tools? I built mine out of an old dinner table and solid house door for the back, bolted aluminium shelving to the left side at top and bottom (to hold pc) This is an old photo of my desk pre new toys

Or the desk at the rear has 2 monitors, a small desk from IKEA

Well, I was an aircraft mechanic in the USAF for 26 years. Also do my own car maintenance... so yeah, I think I can handle a tool or two

But seriously, I just need to decide on what I want and go from there. This is my setup now. Had that desk since 1998 when I got my first PC. I really like it cause it has plenty of shelves for lots of stuff. But yeah, it's time to move on.

I used multiple, or at times if I had a wall behind I'd use wall-mounted arms.

I remember your desk setup from the Mouse matt thread. So you can use a screwdriver then

I can see your problem, hard to get two monitors on that desk without wasting the desk shelving space.

. That’s an option I was thinking about. You can get 6 mounts as you’d know, but look at the price. So I think individual duel is the way to go

Yeah, I just run two desktops - my main rig, and my backup which is usually powered off unless needed. I've got another PC packed away, but I don't have a need for it. I also have two laptops.

The only thing that runs 24/7/365 is my WD NAS. I don't like burning electricity where I don't have to. I get on my grandkids a lot about leaving lights on

Honestly, if I really needed two monitors, I would have long dumped the desk. As it is, I'm quite comfortable with the setup as is. While it would be nice to have two monitors, at this point in my life, I just want simplicity. That even when I dump the desk, I'll probably just get a wider monitor and call it a day. That's me

I think you'd have tough competition here according to the women in my household. Outside the grandkids, I'm the only male so I have to be strong as not to get bowled over by the women. And that means nagging where they think they should be getting over on me

I did try one like that years ago, but the arms kept sagging, and I had to do some creative strapping.

If I was re-doing my desk today I'd use gas lift arms, I can only find a link to a two-monitor one atm, and I'm too busy this morning to look further, but you get the idea.

I’d consider utilising that corner space and build free standing desk shelfs onto the left and right wall, mount shelves above where the duel monitors sit. Free standing is a great space saver.

Yeah no sagging, that would enrage me. I’m a little fussy, everything has to line up nicely. Those monitor arms in AU$ convert to $130.00, even with 6, is a lot better than $1400

Nah, that's just a little too restrictive for me. And quite frankly, cheap.

I'm looking for something along this line with the ability to add shelves. Maybe even something like this. It just depends on how I want to arrange things.
