Are you using 2 computers?

I am also working from home and use 2 computers with one set of mouse and keyboard. I just use a USB switch to toggle between computers.

I have a thunderbolt dock that has one set of keyboard and mouse/trackball for the work day. The monitors are wired to both the dock and my desktop. I keep the "gaming" peripherals plugged into my desktop for low latency. I just shutdown at the end of the work day and switch monitor inputs and put a keyboard down on the tray. Makes for lunch time gaming easy as well. If I need a home computer during the work day I RDP into it. I've been looking into getting one of Wendell's KVMs at some point. For now RDP works great.

Everything is also "plugged" in with the USB 3.0 switch. As for monitors, both computers are connected directly to it. I just switch between video source on the monitor.

The USB switch is connected to the laptop dock and my personal PC.

I actually prefer the different peripherals for work from home use. The quieter keyboard on Teams calls helps a ton as well.

It is a nightmare for me to have 2 sets of mouse and kb... haha...

I also have a wireless mech kb that I can use for work, but I prefer more space on my desk. Works for me better.
