I have a Skype account that I have never used (I don't even remember how I got the account) If there is an option to delete the account, I am not even sure if I should do it, out of concern (maybe unjustified) that a cyber squatter would use/misuse it :eek1:

Anyone else in the same boat?

If you have a Microsoft Account, you have a Skype Account. If you never have or never will use it, just leave it be.
You can't delete the 'Skype Account' without deleting your MS Account, Skype is one of the services associated with your Microsoft account. Best thing to do is, go to your Skype profile and switch everything to private or hidden.

Thanks, that's a big relief! As it appears to be a non-issue, access to the Skype app is via the secure MS account and the app is turned OFF (y)(y)
