Elon Musk’s rocket company had aimed for Starship to circle the globe six times but decided to cut the test flight short.

It’s odd that they focus on it landing slightly early rather than celebrating it reaching orbit and successfully deploying 26 Starlink V3 satellites and hitting pretty much all of this test flights intended goals.

I thought so too. Something must have gone wrong but they didn't want to make it public.

I watched it all live, pretty much everything worked, a few engines went out but nothing that was a major concern.

Well, they are a public company now & their stock prices are still lower then the IPO was (last I heard), so best for them to keep any problems out of the press & risk it going down farther.

A $1,000 investment in SpaceX's June 2026 initial public offering (IPO) priced at $135 per share would have bought about 7.41 shares, which would be worth roughly $841 to $926 today depending on recent market fluctuations

It might turn out to be a good investment in a few years depending on if they can iron out all the problems they're having.

Again, that is pretty standard, nothing special about the stock being lower after an IPO, anybody investing in SpaceX stock unless they are stupid will be playing the long game.

That;s usually how it works, got to be in it for the long haul.

A few years ago on some investing show they asked a few high profile investors what they do when the market drops, do they sell off? They said no, you just keep it as it is & roll with it. We've seen our stocks go up/down several times but so far they're still coming out ahead after whatever turmoil is happening on the market that week/month.

I think SpaceX has a few problems, they've had them for a while. They do seem to be getting better at fixing them, still, not sure I would want to go up in one of their ships right now
