Stopping Outlook popping up messages re incoming mail

The way to do this is evidently File - Options - Mail - message arrival and un-tick Display a Desktop Alert. Except I have it un ticked (and all other Message arrival options) and a box re new messages still appears.

Try system settings -system -notifications -turn off Outlook (banners, sounds).
