Streaming and hardware acceleration issues on Discord after recent Windows and NVIDIA updates

My device is a Dell G15 5530 laptop (i7-13650HX, RTX 4060,windows 11 pro 24h2). I started experiencing problems after a Windows cumulative update (KB5062660) and a NVIDIA driver update (v577). When I stream games on Discord, my computer sometimes freezes and the games become laggy. After disabling hardware acceleration on Discord, the problem was resolved. However, even with hardware acceleration disabled, streaming my browser causes lag and freezing. The window stays frozen unless I move it, and it freezes again a few minutes later.I used DDU to remove and reinstall the Nvidia driver but nothing changed.

Kindly fill out your system specs in your profile when you get a chance.

Latest for laptop is not always best for non OEM supplied drivers.
Manufacturers have a tendency to 'tweak' the driver according to the system needs.

I downloaded the driver from Dell's website but the problem still persists.I tried 3 different drivers so far but nothing changed.Could the Windows update i mentioned be causing the problem?

Sorry about that.
You could always try to uninstall the latest update that seems to be the cause of your issues.
Nothing to lose.

Apart from that, use DDU to completely remove any trace of the nVidia drivers, restart and then install latest official version directly from nVidia. Also is the Game Ready driver has issues, you may switch to the Studio version and see if the issue is fixed. There shouldn't be any serious impact in performance. I recently installed the latest Studio driver and I think there is a slight improvement in performance, at least for video encoding/decoding. I don't play any demanding games.

    Legacy MBR installation, no TPM, no Secure Boot, no WDDM 2.0 graphics drivers, no SSE4.2, cannot get more unsupported ;) This is only my test laptop. I had installed Windows 11 here before upgrading my main PC. For my main PC I use everyday see my 2nd system specs.
