Thank you! @BamaInArk@Ghot
Yes, all the hardware is recognized by the OS. I did install the latest AMD Chipset drivers directly from AMD. I just updated them. I avoided any ASUS bloatware.
Event Viewer - I've been watching that every time it crashes. Rarely a clue, but THIS JUST IN!
I downloaded the program Core Temp to monitor CPU temps since reading your replies.
(peak temp so far at 73c while doing basic stuff, usually hovering in the 38 to 42c range)
What's interesting is that while that program is running it does not freeze, it reboots instead!
And in the event viewer I now find this: (Both APIC ID: 30 and APIC ID: 1)

Regarding a potential thermal compound issue - perhaps - I did flip the AIO pump block around awhile ago out of necessity to fit all four DIMMs when I installed the 128gb RAM. Pretty sure I did good with the thermal compound but perhaps not?
Although I did have a freeze after updating the chipset drivers, I seem to be having an abnormally long uptime right now.
I'm assuming the issue is not yet fixed.
I'm attempting to image the system, if that works I will restore the image I made after I did a fresh Win11 install with drivers and see if that still freezes or not. That should tell me if it is hardware related or software related, I suppose. Unless you have a better diagnostic path to follow. =D
I could suspect it's my 128gb of RAM... but.. I did have several weeks of zero issues. Windows memory diagnostics had no errors. I did run MemTest86 after installing and had zero errors, though I did only run it one time while I was out of town. It took over three days!

Windows wouldn't even boot anymore due to a CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED BSOD on boot.
Really seems like whatever the problem has been, it has been corrupting data!
So I removed the four screws from the block on the CPU, then lifted it off.
Then four springs fell onto the motherboard as I was lifting it.
Then it hit me instantly.
Some MORON had put these springs on the WRONG SIDE!
They were supposed to be directly under the screws!
On THAT side it would interfere with contact between cooling plate and the CPU!
So I fixed that and redid the thermal paste.
Thanks to you and all the rest of you who mentioned to check this!
I was pretty sure I'd be home free after this fix.
Not exactly.
I reinstalled Win11 on the 4TB SSD.
Within 10 minutes or so it rebooted on me. Nooooo!!!
Event viewer showed this again:
A fatal hardware error has occurred.
I then installed the AMD chipset drivers, and then did "Load Optimized Defaults" in the BIOS (which is resetting it, I THINK)
(I had done those things previously to no avail).
And THEN....
I had over 6 hours of uptime!
During that time I ran AIDA64 system stability test for an hour, temp peaked at 64c
Then I ran Prime95 torture test (blended) for an hour and fifteen minutes, temp peaked at 80c for a few seconds multiple times.
As I was writing this post, with a smile on my face it FROZE AGAIN. Then I rebooted and it froze again while I was trying to finish this post.
Torture testing and system stability tests were passed, but it freezes on this webpage while I'm writing this?
That's the update.
This is how have I have my AIO setup. Had to put it this way so the 4 DIMMS could fit (not all present at the moment)
That is suspect. At idle, my (slightly older) 3950X is below 40° C, and when playing CPU intensive games, it is not pushing much above 60° C. If you're doing 'basic' things and it climbs to 73° C, then I suspect that your heatsink is not making proper contact.
How is the radiator mounted in your system, and have you watched the GN and / or Jayz Two Cents video on proper mounting? Since you changed the orientation of the cooler on the CPU that might be causing an issue.
Also, double check to see if that model is not known to have issues with problematic gunk inside the pump and cooling fins, I know there were some AIOs that had an issue like that, that you may not have experienced before simply because the (previous) orientation overcame the buildup, but now changing it around *is* causing issues.
This thread has links to both GN and JTC vides regarding orientation:
Hi all, after a lot of debate, I ordered the EK AIO 360MM rgb: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0842YK4L5/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 To cool my 10850K which can do 5.0 all core and possibly more. When I asked about air vs CLC vs AIO, people mentioned having proper...
Many thanks, I did see many threads online about people with this issue but hadn't seen people talk about possible solutions like on this thread.
I will check out my BIOS and see if I can make the changes discussed.
It just doesn't make sense that it's been fine for years and suddenly I might have to mess with settings like that.
What is interesting is that it SEEMS that it does not freeze while the system is under load. I have AIDA64 running right now and I'm able to make this post. I haven't tested this theory enough, but it seems to be the case. When I stop it, within minutes I get a freeze.

Here you are, thank you!
Note that I have a single 32gb DIMM installed at the moment, from my previous kit (definitely had no issues). I don't think the newer 128gb does either, however.
I now have more instances to confirm that it does appear when the CPU is not under load the freezes can happen. When I stop AIDA64 it happens not long after. If I keep it running it does not appear to happen.

I just reinstalled Win11 yesterday, that's why.
The pattern has been mostly freezes with no error reported.
Occasionally it would reboot and report a machine check exception: cache hierarchy error.
Thank you!
New BIOS, thanks for pointing that out.
I suspect now it was updating the bios a couple of months ago that triggered this behavior for me in the first place.
After reading the thread that @dacrone linked to, a few people reported that disabling Core Performance Boost and Global C-State Control in the BIOS fixed their problem.
Mine were set to Auto, as they have always been.
I disabled them, then went to sleep.
I turned my screen on this morning and saw that my computer lasted through the night!

Tuneup plus will also modify settings so that it is easier to see if there was an unexpected shutdown and restart (turns off automatic restart) and if there were a BSOD the optimal files could be generated.
Should I still do this even though I haven't had a crash since last night and I just reinstalled Win11 again today?
(Onedrive was missing so I figured the previous install may have had some corruption from the issue)

I haven't updated the bios yet, want to see if those two changes fixed the issue.
You never know, the next bios update could introduce another issue.
I can correlate the beginnings of the issue now with the last bios update I did.
Zero crashes or freezes today, I'm thrilled!
I won't call it DONE for sure, I'll be sure and report back either way! =D
I'm going to make sure it's running stable for several days before I even put my 128gb back in or make any changes.

Ok, safe to say this issue is RESOLVED! System has been running like a dream!
Thank you all again for your help!!
And thank you @dacrone for pointing to that thread where I found the solution to tweak those bios settings!
