Solved Systray autohide

The icons in the system tray can be toggled hidden and shown very easily, however, I'm having an issue mainly with one icon. I've gone into Settings and turned on all the items under "Taskbar corner overflow" as I hate having them hidden. Whenever I reboot my laptop, the Dropbox icon gets 'hidden' again and I have to drag it out of the arrow back onto the taskbar. I did notice that Dropbox is listed twice in the setting mentioned above, however, both are turned on.

Is there a setting or registry tweak to permanently 'always show' and not use the hidden feature?

Try the 'classic' settings panel...

Where has it moved to? If I open Control Panel, when I click Taskbar and Settings it takes me to the new Settings for it.

They were all marked to show icon and the "Always show" checkbox at the bottom was checked, I can't change anything though, just hit ok or cancel

Yeah, often it's hit n miss with those settings!

That`s because it`s Dropbox, and windows thinks it`s a new item every time you reboot your box.

I contacted Dropbox about it and they confirmed, when you reboot the computer Dropbox does an initial sync and that's the icon that Windows sees as new, therefore hides it.
