In Chrome, after clicking Full Screen on a YouTube video, sometimes the taskbar shows up.

Does the same thing happen when using F11 or Fn+F11 on Notebooks to get Full Screen [it's not the same as Maximized]? F11 gets rid of the Taskbar and most Toolbars until pressed again.

I never tried it. I thought clicking the bottom right corner icon was the samd thing as Full Screen. Anyway, one shouldn't have to press F11 to get rid of the taskbar and why does it show up only sometimes?

The bottom right end of the Taskbar is called Peek, used to view the Desktop, click to View, click again to restore. On Win10 it would fade the programs when hovering, click to View, unView.

I was talking about the bottom right corner icon of a YouTube video, not of the desktop.

This is a bug. I have seen it in other browsers too. Try clicking on the video, it may pause. Click again to resume. Sometimes this makes the taskbar disappear. Once I couldn't get rid of the taskbar and I enabled auto hide. Also try upgrading the browser if there is any new version.

In my case, pausing and resuming doesn't fix the issue. How can one enable autohide and is it all-encompassing or does it only work when watching a YouTube video or while in Full Screen in any program?

I already have the latest version installed.

It will. I once had the same issue.

But if this issue is caused by a program (like NTLite and/or Winaero Tweaker), it won't be fixed by an update, I guess.

F11 hides the browser interface and stretches video to take all screen. It should be the same as clicking on the small square at bottom right to make video full screen. In that case it shouldn't make any difference.

What happens if you press the F key?

Which F key?

That's what I said.

That's what I said.
Just the F key.
Google seems to be adjusting the site again as I just realised they've re-instated the down vote button. Might be something to do with that and not your comp.

Sorry, I thought you were talking about one of the "Fx" keys. When I have this issue again, I'll press it and report back.

I tried it while not having the problem and it just exits and enters Full Screen, so it should not fix this issue.

* I mean, it should fix, but won't prevent the taskbar from showing up. It should be the same thing as clicking the bottom right button.
