TeraBox - Free 1TB online Storage

So, if any of you need some free online storage, TeraBox will give you 1TB FREE. The only downfall, is you can't integrate it with Windows, so anything you upload has to be done via the website. Not a big deal for small files, but large files take a while. Just thought I would throw this out there in case someone is looking for a bunch of free space. (And apparently they don't have any TOS or anything like that, so if you have 10 email addresses, then you have 10TB worth of storage)

They don't offer enough free space that I need. That wouldn't even get me started.

Useful, there is a max size of 4gb per file. Not sure what the speed limitation is for free users, have you tried it?

1 TB USB 3.x is inexpensive, Google Disk -15GB is enough to store important information.

I have more than just documents to store. . I have software that I have legally purchased that I would like to keep safe in case my extra storage drive decides to take a dump some day. . . lol

I would never trust such services.
Google Cloud object storage, with unlimited space for files, 300 dollars credit to use with google cloud for 90 days. Much better option. I have 8TB files stored in archieve class and I pay 9 dollars per month apx.

maybe for some, but using their cloud storage service is simple. You have unlimited space to use and you also have the guarantee of google that you will never lose a file.
Someone will say, why not use Google Drive. Google Drive gives you 2TB for 10 euros per month, and with google cloud I have 10TB at the same price in archive class.
other storage option is degoo in the same price range, 10TB for 10 euros with much more simple interface. hope it helps.

The added benefit of using Cloud is that you don't have to use a G-Suite account anymore. I have my Cloud storage from my G-Suite account, but now you can use regular Google accounts for cloud as well.

And the File Stream app is 1000x better than Google Backup & Sync. Only real flaw is it can't log into more than one account at a time - for now - that is supposedly being worked on.

I have over 2.5TB of stuff that I want to copy and backup so I can do a complete disk check of that HDD just to make sure it's still in good condition. I don't want to lose anything.

I have a subscription to Microsoft 365 (Office), which comes with 6 installations. Each installation is good for 1 TB of cloud storage. Price: $99 per year. Or, you can get a single installation with 1 TB storage for $69.xx.

Hi there
some countries (and people) might have a problem with Baidu or almost anything emanating from Hong Kong these days. I remember the old Hong Kong from years ago -- really vibrant and fun place but without going into Politics --for me R.I.P Hong Kong circa 1997.

I'm not sure I'd trust anything "Internet" or private datawise related to Chinese backed businesses currently whatever the relative costs of competing services from elsewhere delivered by alternative suppliers.

YMMV of course but it's not a direction I want to travel currently.

Used it for a few years back in the '10's but do read the terms of use and how certain transfers count against your data qty limits. Stopped using it a few years ago. Nothing specifically bad I could put my finger on.

Given PRC and Iceland --- There's no choice which is infintely better as regards freedom / internet censorship etc etc !!!!!!! however as I pointed out if the places those servers operate from don't bother you and they are value for money by all means use them. Alibaba (EPIC code : BABA) a chinese competitor to Amazon still has a listing on NYSE / NASDAQ and loads of people (outside China) not only invest in it but have also made barrel loads of cash from the share price too although not in the last year or so (probably true of a load of companies anyway).
