Test software for used laptop

I've got a used laptop ive bought from Ebay turning up today
What's a good software ideally free that would test everything to make sure the laptops all good ?
Not sure if there's an all in one if not I'm guessing I need to test
Cpu , gpu , ram and harddrives, is there anything else that would normally be tested like motherboard maybe?

Look at the temperatures (maybe the thermal paste and thermal pads need to be replaced) and the condition of the drives.

Welcome to Eleven Forum.

Many laptops come with their own hardware tests built into the BIOS.

For drives I look at the SMART data with CrystalDiskInfo, though HWInfo64 can show the same data. There's more on which data is significant here:

    fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update.

    My SYSTEM THREE is a Dell Latitude 5410, i7-10610U, 32GB RAM, 512GB NVMe ssd, supported device running Windows 11 Pro (and all my Hyper-V VMs).

The laptops turned up and windows is already installed, looks like a fresh install as far as I can tell, should that be a concern?

I don't know that a fresh install of Windows is necessarily a concern. I have sold my old computers over the years, and did a fresh install of Windows for the buyer. I don't want them having any of my personal information that was kept on the computer. A format and fresh install insures they don't. I usually would do the Windows installation and leave the final forms to fill out for the buyer for him/her to initiate it as a new install.

Ok thank you, the final form was done as well so the login was setup and name admin
