I have noticed that when I take my earbuds off and put them on my desk, they disconnect. I am able to easily reconnect them but should this be happening? Just wondering.
Also, the BT mouse keeps disconnecting. I have a video that deals with that and will watch -must post a little bit of a whine about this marvelous yet annoying technology. have a good day!!

If all else fails, guess I will d.l. Sound Keeper. I would rather fix it rather than another download. But -- maybe.

I've not got a BT mouse just wi-fi but have a look in device manager for some settings. This is mine (but Wi-Fi)

It doesn't call out the name of the BT earbuds -- can't assume it is the right one but it is the only one with that function. Thanks.

I just noticed you have that same 12C HID device on your device manager list. Maybe it isn't the earbuds. Man o man...

Maybe there is some timeout that when idle they just disconnect. However since this happens when you put them on the desk, it might be some sensor detecting their position. The sensor can determine if they are put on your ears (position A) or left on the desk (rotated to position B). Then a timer is activated. If you put them again within a few seconds, they stay connected. If the timeout expires they disconnect to save battery. This would make sense.

One last error listing -- I believe it's for the hub mentioned in an earlier post. I looked on device manager but didn't see it listed. Should I use the remove function or will that screw up everything that is now working---the earbuds and the mouse. Thanks!!bt3.webp

For the earbuds issue use SoundKeeper I linked to. As for the mouse check "Mice and other pointing devices" in Device Manager.

My Bluetooth USB dongle also has issues. It doesn't always connect to my pods in the first try, so I switch it off for a few seconds, switch on and click to connect. Try switching it off for a while.

I really want to uninstall and reinstall but everything is working so am hesitant. If it is the root cause of that "driver error" I guess that would fix the message.

Is that dongle related to the usb hub? I am a total illiterate about the names of these devices. Thanks for your experience with this BT stuff.

Bluetooth USB dongle is a little device that looks like a thumb drive and plugs to the USB port. But it doesn't hold data, it adds a Bluetooth device in laptops without or a desktop PC. I am using one on my desktop PC so I can connect my earphones.

OK - thanks. So the hub I ordered is a dongle. It seems to work fine - this morning earbuds stayed "alive" even though off my ears. the mouse however continues to disconnect after no use for a while. I will check out a video that addresses it. Thanks again.

If it is USB maybe it doesn't receive enough power. Try connecting it on a separate USB port on the computer. Rear ports are more stable.
