Hello to everyone.

I'm trying to disable my graphic card,NVIDIA RTX 2080 ti with devcon on Windows 11 emulated with bhyve on FreeBSD. As u can see below,It says that it cannot find the device. I'm sure that the hardware ID is correct and I'm also sure that the devcon version that I'm using is not good. Can someone tell me where I can get the working version ? Below u can see what's the hardware id of the device that I want to enable and disable :

Screenshot-20211207-225228

below u can see that the devcon version that I've got is not able to disable my graphic card :

Ive already installed Windows 11 SDK (22000.1) and Windows 11 WDK (22000.1) and Ive realized that the devcon tool is not inside these files, for this reason Ive installed the Insider Preview WDK/SDK and infact,I found it inside there. Unfortunately it does not work. Below u can see where are stored all the devcon tools that has been installed. The folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Kits\10\Tools\ has been created by the insider preview WDK package, instead the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Kits\8.1\Tools\ has been created by the Windows WDK 8.1 that Ive also tried. None of these devcon tools work correctly.

I see. Is there any reason that you would not disable it in Device Manager?

yes. there is. Im working on a complicated setup. I have virtualized windows 11 with bhyve under freebsd and I have passed through inside of it my graphic card. but It gives error 43. I presume that I should disable the default microsoft display adapter. Without it I cant enable and disable any device ! I did this already. When Windows 11 boot without it,I see that the graphic card gives again error 43. I saw this because I have installed the ssh server inside Windows 11 and from outside I have connected to the ssh server from freebsd and I have issued the following command

wmic path win32_videocontroller get configmanagererrorcode

and it reports error 43. So,I want to try to disable and re enable again the graphic card using the devcon tool, like this

devcon disable "PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1E04&SUBSYS_250319DA&REV_A1"

devcon enable "PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1E04&SUBSYS_250319DA&REV_A1"

my hope is that it starts working when I disable it and re enable it :) but I doubt very much that it will work.

So,the pnputil should work like this :

pnputil /enable-device "PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1E04&SUBSYS_250319DA&REV_A1"
pnputil /disable-device "PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1E04&SUBSYS_250319DA&REV_A1"

right ?

To find the correct Instance ID of your graphics card, run this:

This sounds interesting to me :

why I see two displays that look similar but they aren't ?

PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1E04&SUBSYS_250319DA&REV_A1\3&61aaa01&0&18

and

PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1E04&SUBSYS_250319DA&REV_A1\3&61aaa01&0&20

the last one reports error 43,but the first one doesn't. this means that I can enable the first one and it will work ?
