To save emails by dates they are created

Windows 11 Pro - 22H2
Trying to save some selected emails in order the date they were created to/from same email address.

Currently using gmail and Thunderbird and cannot get Windows to save the selected emails in a ascending/descending order of their created dates.
Using "Sort" or "View" can only save them in "Subject" groups still in date created within those groups.

I'm trying to save all selected emails in a date related order disregarding their Subjects.

Any suggestions or email platform that could do as I hope. Years ago used Outlook Express without problems

In Thunderbird click the little icon in upper right corner and change the view to get the same type listing as in File Explorer. Clicking a column heading will re-sort as desired.
