HI all, I was wondering - is there a way I can set up my Mom's PC so that periodically, 2-3 times a day, it can log her download WiFi speed, comparable to Ookla's speedtest, so I can see the results later? Her service its changing, and I want to track how it's doing, and she lives more distant from me so I don't get there too often. I do have remote software access, but if I just ran something through it, of course the speeds will be much slower since I am connected at the moment.

Thanks for your ideas!

Thanks for the recommendation @torchwood. I read the info, one question I have - is a tool like NetTraffic actually doing downloads constantly? How does it get that speed without compromising the download capacity of the computer or going excessively high in downloaded data per month?

NetTraffic is only showing how much data you are sending/receiving at each data measurement point. It doesn't show the size of the pipe that you have.

Speedtest.net, Fast.com, etc download and upload a data file from their servers and from the length of time it takes you have an approximation of the available bandwidth.
