Transfer MS Money from computer to laptop

I have MS Money Plus on my desktop and want to transfer the program to my laptop, windows 11 on both devices. Have tried to load onto USB drive and through One Drive. Useless. Get error message that the path Programfiles(x86)/microsoftmoneyplus/mnycorefiles/money.exe does not exist.
I am very frustrated at this point.
Please help.

You can't just move it's installation folder, you need to properly install it on the destination machine.

As Jocky said, software doesn’t work like that.
MS Money is long expired, but someone made a version to replace it once MS Money was discontinued.

It’s called “Microsoft Money Plus Sunset Delux”
It is also ancient but at least you can install it like any other software.

Cheryl, I would, as a suggestion, consider starting to use Quickbooks software. Apparently:

QuickBooks can import data from Microsoft Money files, specifically those saved in the OFX (Open Financial Exchange) format. You can also import data from other formats like QIF, QFX, QBO, and CSV, depending on your specific needs and the data available.

What I do is just install the Sunset edition which I've been using for years now, meaning that after installing it on the new PC you can do a File Open from the Menu bar and browse to the last back up file you've made and you're back in business. Every time one closes the program after use a back up file is created which can be used to restore your data.

Just reinstall Money on the new PC and copy across your money data file. Use the Windows 7 or XP compatibility mode. I use the last UK money version Money 2005 with no problems in Windows 11 on all my PCs. I wish Microsoft would produce a modern version of Money since this excellent software is hard to beat.
